When you get old...
▪Never teach anyone anything, unless requested... even if you are right.
▪Do not try to help unless asked for... but be ready & available for it.
▪️Do not give unsolicited opinion in academic, professional or financial matters... detach yourself.
▪️Do not expect everyone to follow your advise or opinion ... or even respect your experience.
▪Don't worry about future of your children beyond a limit... let them perform or perish.
▪Don't try to protect your loved ones from all the misfortunes of the World... Just pray for them.
▪Don't complain about your health, your neighbours, your retirement, your woes all the time... no one is interested.
▪Don't expect gratitude from children... specially when they think too wise of themselves.
▪ Don't exhaust your emotions on people who do not respect you... move away.
▪ If you are not wanted or loved, find it elsewhere... enough deserving people beyond your family.
▪Do not brood over lost opportunities and failed relationships... look forward to those who value & love you.
▪Don't waste your last money on useless anti-aging treatments... age gracefully.
▪Rather than leaving all your hard earned money for ungrateful people, better spend it on a cause, trip, hobby or leisure... It's always worth it.
▪Take care of your spouse, even if he/she becomes a wrinkled, helpless and moody old person... don't forget he/she was once young, good looking and cheerful.
▪Understand new technologies, follow the News, study something new, develop small skills... do not fall behind in time.
▪Don't blame yourself for whatever happened to your life or to your children's lives... you did everything you could.
▪Preserve your dignity & integrity in any situation till the end... even if it requires to detach from undeserving people in your life.
▪Try to keep physically fit, mentally agile and socially alive... Do your best & leave the rest to The Almighty.
